Von Teese’s collection, set to launch in February 2012 both online and in-store, is a reflection of her own vintage obsessions, aiming to modernize classic pieces for everyday wear while offering a wide range of sizes to cater to diverse body types. The line features 10 distinct collections, from essential black sets to bold reds, nudes with black lace overlay, and vintage-inspired pale satin shades, as well as animal prints.
With prices starting at $17 for bras and briefs and going up to $79 for bustiers and corsolettes, the Von Follies by Dita Von Teese collection is designed to bring sophistication and glamour to Australian women of all sizes, with selected styles available up to an E-cup and briefs up to size 20. The range combines luxurious elements like grosgrain and velvet ribbons, delicate eyelash lace, and control mesh to evoke the sultry glamour of the 1950s era.
In preparation for the collaboration, Target Australia conducted customer research in 2010 and 2011 to gauge awareness and sentiment towards Von Teese.
